Our volunteers are the heart of Pearls. They’re a group of very special people who willingly give their time, energy and compassion to help improve the lives of others. From the kitchen crew to the dream team cleaners, our volunteers are the key to Pearls' success and are a valuable and precious resource.
Our volunteers have the capacity to create an atmosphere that is very special. Every week, the dining hall and kitchen is full of happy chatter, laughter, smiling faces, satisfaction and keen eyes looking out for the guests who need an extra meal to take home, a quiet chat to find out how they’re travelling or a hug when sadness shows on their face or in their demeanour. We know that the skills of our volunteers add to the social capacity in our community, making it more vibrant, caring and compassionate. |
